A Journey Rooted in Experience
My journey in the construction industry began at a young age, growing up in Bellingham and later in Bellevue, Washington. With my father working as a land developer and apartment builder, I was immersed in the home building sector from childhood. By the time I was 23, I took the leap to establish Mirikeen Homes, and it has been a fulfilling adventure ever since. My partner, Lindsey Kull, and I form a small, committed team, allowing us to maintain a level of personal engagement that reflects our niche focus.

In a market saturated with builders and designers, standing out is crucial. At Mirikeen Homes, our niche focus is centered on our passion for refining every detail of the building process—from floor plans and millwork to architectural design. As a smaller operation, we are fortunate to dedicate extra time and resources to these aspects, allowing us to retain our individuality in a landscape where so many homes feel replica-like.
One project that embodies our philosophy is The Monticello, a custom home where we faced significant challenges during the development phase but ultimately brought a beautiful vision to life. The collaboration with our talented designers resulted in a harmonious blend of interior and exterior elements, ensuring the house truly stands out in its prime location.

What made The Monticello exceptional, in my opinion, was working closely with a homeowner who had a precise vision in mind. Their desire for a grand and detailed home allowed us to showcase our expertise in millwork and design. Each feature was meticulously crafted to ensure it wasn’t just another house on the block. For instance, I took great pride in designing a custom entry and intricate millwork that lent the home a unique atmosphere, adding warmth and individuality that many builders overlook.
The Exciting Road Ahead
Looking to the future fills me with excitement. We have recently acquired some incredible properties on Bellevue’s east side, including a gorgeous acre of flat land where we plan to build our dream home. This opportunity allows Lindsey and me to pour our creativity and craftsmanship into a personal project, setting the foundation for our next chapter.
Additionally, we’re thrilled to be working on a new project in Beaux Arts Village, a charming community with strict guidelines. Collaborating with architects to ensure our design aligns with the municipality’s aesthetic is a challenge we embrace. We aim to create a home that not only complies with the architectural committee’s standards but also adds a distinctive touch to this lovely neighborhood.
